Kokila Shankar

I am an undergraduate student in the Schreyer Honors College pursuing a B.S. in Biology (Neuroscience) and Psychology and Biochemistry & Molecular Biology minors. I am also a Braddock Scholar and a Science LionPride ambassador within the Eberly College of Science. My previous research experience has included studying kinases involved in Drosophila axon regeneration at Penn State and investigating synaptic protein interactions in GABA-ergic neurons at Penn State Hershey. After graduation, I plan to attend graduate school to further pursue my interest in neuroscience research. I am looking forward to studying HSV and developing my senior thesis in the Szpara lab. In my free time I enjoy ballroom dancing, reading, and staying involved with Honors College events.
