BMMB Graduate Student
I received my B.S. in Biology and Medical Technology from State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 2010. After graduation, I moved to Dallas, TX where I worked as a Medical Technologist at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. While in the medical center, I worked in a clinical microbiology lab performing diagnostic testing on clinical specimens. My primary areas of training are molecular biology and bacteriology. After working for almost three years, I decided to pursue my lifelong goal of obtaining PhD. I joined Penn State University in the fall of 2013 and Dr. Szpara’s lab in the spring of 2014. When, not in the lab I like to spend my time reading, playing soccer or watching TV. I also like enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my friends.
